Anne Blaich

Under the title Creatures of the Alps,

a video installation was presented in 2022 at the

Deutsches Jagd- und Fischereimuseum in Munich.

The exhibition combined moving image and object-based display,

featuring three small monitors and one large screen alongside images,

sculptures, and preserved specimens depicting mythical creatures of the Alpine region.

 

The project focused on scientific perspectives that explore the origins and cultural significance of local Alpine folklore. By connecting visual storytelling with research-based insights,

the installation offered a contemporary interpretation of traditional mythologies.

 

All videos, images, and the conceptual framework of the exhibition were developed by the artist (Anne Blaich), while the museum provided the sculptures and preserved specimens.
